What's coming up in Canton: 3/15/18

Coffee with a Cop – Friday, March 16, at Canton YMCA from 8 – 10 a.m.
Cornhole League play is coming to downtown Canton! – Cornhole in Cannon Park begins on Tuesday, March 20, and continues through May 15. Games will be scheduled at either 6:45, 7:30, or 8:15pm in the park.


1 Million Cups Cherokee, or "1MC" - a joint partnership between the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, the Woodstock Office of Economic Development, the City of Holly Springs, the City of Waleska, Reinhardt University, and the City of Canton, will be at the Canton Theatre on Wednesday, March 21st at 9:00 a.m.1MC allows local entrepreneurs and startups to connect and engage with the community and for the community to learn more about its startup businesses. A startup company in Cherokee County will also be sharing their business model. The event is free and open to the public. Please come support our local entrepreneurs. 

A Novel Idea at East Main Café on Wednesday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. The March program is on Memoir/Non-fiction.

Georgia Trust Canton Expedition - Saturday, March 24 – 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
The Georgia Trust invites you to participate in this tour of beautifully restored homes and intriguing historic sites of Canton during this day-long Expedition. Attendees will experience the rich history of Canton and explore a variety of beautifully restored homes from the late 19th and early 20th centuries located Canton’s National Register Historic District. The Canton Theatre
“Driving Miss Daisy” by Alfred Uhry and presented by the Cherokee Theatre Company is continuing through March 18. Tickets are $15.00 and $18.00 and can be purchased through the website: www.cherokeetheatre.org.
March 24 - Aiden Sinclair, Master Illusionist, will perform one night only at 7:00 pm. Aiden appeared on “America’s Got Talent” and has worked with Penn and Teller. Call the Canton Theatre box office for more information.

Cherokee County Historical Society – Will host the 24th Annual Historic Preservation Awards Banquet on Friday, March 16, at 7:00 p.m. at the Bluffs Conference Center.

Canton Art and Wine Walk - Presented by Canton Main Street – April 6 & 7 in Historic Downtown Canton. Tickets are on sale now for Friday, April 6 (5-8pm) and Saturday, April 7 (2-6pm).
