CANTON THEATRE

 

$1 Kids Summer Movie Series - Sponsored by Canton Main Street, continues June 13 with “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. Tickets go on sale one hour prior to show time at the theatre box office. Show times are at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. $1 concessions are available, and seats are first come, first served. CHEROKEE ARTS CENTER

 

June 8 – 28 – Action Painting, Color Abstraction and All that Jazz Art - an exhibit by Marc West in the gallery.

 

Camp Imagine Summer Season in June and July is open for student registration. Mixed Media camps are open for ages 5 through 20 beginning June 18. For more information call 770-704-6244

 

 

The Cherokee County Historical Society

 

June 19 – The History of Georgia Marble – A program presented by Bill Cagle at 7:00 p.m. at the Rock Barn. The program is free and open to the public.

 

DOWNTOWN CANTON

 

The Canton Farmers Market – continues every Saturday through October from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in downtown Canton.

 

June 20 – The 7-week Summer Cornhole League kicks off at Cannon Park. Games begin at 6:45 p.m.

 

June 20 is the next meeting of A Novel Idea at East Main Café beginning at 7:00 p.m. The June Program is Beach Reads.

 

June 23 -  The Summer Series of Movies continues in Brown Park with “Peter Rabbit” at sundown. Movies in the Park are sponsored by: Northside Hospital, Southern Outdoor Cinema, Covenant Christian Academy and the City of Canton. Bring your blanket or lawn chair for a movie under the stars.

 

July 4 - Join us as we celebrate July 4th at Riverstone Plaza! The parade begins at 5 p.m., followed by a concert with The 80ators from 6 – 9 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. Sponsored by Canton Tourism.

 

July 6Canton First Friday in historic downtown Canton. The theme is Island Dreams and the band is Sons of Sailors.
