The Canton Farmers Market — continues every Saturday through October from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in downtown Canton.
August 25 - "Sherlock Gnomes" will begin at sundown. This is the last in the summer series of Movies in the Park at Brown Park, sponsored by Northside Hospital, Southern Outdoor Cinema, Covenant Christian Academy and the City of Canton. Bring your blanket or lawn chair for a movie under the stars.
September 7 – First Friday in downtown Canton from 6 – 9 p.m. The theme for September is 80’s Night and the band is The Breakfast Club.
September 1 - Dumpster Day – Free monthly City cleanup day with dumpsters and electronic recycling at City Hall from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. Go to www.cantonga.gov for a list of included acceptable items.
September 11 – Patriots Day Ceremony in Rotary Park @ 8:30 a.m.
September 15 – 5K for A Day for Reinhardt follows the downtown race route along Main Street, Jeanette Street and Muriel Street and will create some temporary street blockage in the downtown area. Sign-in and on-site registration begins at 7 a.m. in the parking lot of the Cherokee County Water and Sewage Authority Building in downtown Canton. The race begins at 8 a.m. and should be finished by 9:30 a.m.
September 17 – Members of the Hightower Trail Chapter of the DAR will be at the gazebo in Cannon Park from 11a.m. – 1a.m. to celebrate Constitution Week by distributing copies of the Preamble to the Constitution to anyone who would like one.
September 19 – Is the next meeting of A Novel Idea at East main Café beginning at 7 p.m. The topic for September is Southern Writers
