We are thrilled to share that Tanner Place has been recognized as a winner in the Rehab/Revitalization category at the
Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 27th Annual Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards, and has also received 1st Place in the 2026 Associated General Contractors Build Georgia Awards Program.
These honors reflect the remarkable collaboration, trust, and shared commitment of the City of Canton, Cherokee County, and all the community partners.
"Your patience, support, and vision made this achievement possible, and we are deeply grateful for your belief in the Canton Housing Authority and Sepia Transformation Partners," said Paul Robinson, STP Partner. "We know there are many hands involved in this work, so we share our appreciation with everyone who contributed to Tanner Place’s success in any way."
It had been over 50 years since any new public housing was constructed in the City of Canton, but in August 2024, the Canton Housing Authority broke ground on 70 new modern townhomes to replace 39 existing units for the former residents of Shipp Street, as well as for the current residents of Jefferson Place. Tanner Place is aptly named after one of its biggest supporters, former City Council member, and long-time Canton resident, Pat Tanner. Construction was completed in early 2026, with residents moving in starting shortly thereafter.
