Recycling

The City of Canton promotes waste reduction, recommends new recycling initiatives, implements existing waste reduction and recycling programs and educates City employees and the general public about recycling programs and opportunities.

Curbside Recycling Program

Place newspaper, magazines, telephone books, aluminum cans, advertising mail, corrugated cardboard, plastic soft drink, milk and water containers, together in the same bin.

If you are in need of a new bin please email us at sanitation@cantonga.gov.

Public Recycle Stations

You may drop your recyclables in bins behind at the Municipal Court Building at 151 Elizabeth Street, in downtown Canton, or take them to the City Collection site located at 2525 Ridge Road. Items accepted are plastic, paper, cardboard and a collection tank for Residential Cooking Oil.

Christmas Tree Recycling: "Bring One for the Chipper"

The City of Canton offers Christmas Tree Recycling annually at the City Collection Site (2525 Ridge Road) December through the end of January. Specific dates to be determined. 


 
 

Glass Recycling

Glass recycling is now accepted at the City Collection Site at 2525 Ridge Road. This facility is open Friday and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekly and closed on holidays.
