The Jones Building
The Historic Jones Building will become a focal point for Canton to offer space as a Cultural Arts & Activities Center that will benefit the community.
The City is continuing to work with Lord Aeck Sargent as the architectural firm. The restored interior will include classroom and meeting space, public restrooms, a visitors center and reception area, and will feature a multi-purpose special events space.
Adding two floors as part of a $43M expansion that will also include 8 new beds, 2 shared operating rooms, and a room conversion in the Labor-Delivery-Postpartum Room.
Northside also added an additional 13 patient beds at a near $1.4M investment.
Construction is also underway for an additional 625 parking spaces.
Upon completion of the current projects, Northside Hospital-Cherokee will have 126 beds and nearly 1,500 parking spaces.
Downtown Canton's newest retailer opened in November. Locally owned and operated, The Southern Collective sells clothes, home décor, custom furniture, and features a collection of homemade jewelry and antiques.
