The Canton Textile Mills Redevelopment

The Canton textile mills have been purchased for redevelopment. Alpharetta-based Penn Hodge Properties plans to redevelop the 30-plus acre area into a mixed-use development to include retail, restaurants, offices, and a residential component. More details are soon to come about the site plans.

Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen Opens

Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen opened at 540 Riverstone Pkwy on Monday, March 19. The new 2,700 sq. ft. building, which includes a drive-thru, is next to the Canton Mill Lofts. In addition to its iconic food offerings, the quick service chain brings over 50 new jobs to the city.

Devnext Opens New Office Space

Devnext, a locally-opened and operated technology solutions firm, celebrated the opening of their office at 105 W. Main St. Devnext offers software support, web and software development, IT consulting, and mobile application development to a number of companies worldwide. The new office space allows the 21-person team a brick and mortar location to better serve their customers.

1MC Cherokee Comes to Canton

1 Million Cups Cherokee held the first of three yearly meetings in Canton on Wednesday, March 21. 1MC Cherokee is a partnership with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development and the cities in Cherokee County to support and connect entrepreneurs with their community. The gathering was held at the Canton Theatre where VoiceoverCity presented and East Main Café offered coffee.
