Artists Wanted!

2019 Canton Festival of the Arts is now accepting applications from artist.

The 16th annual festival will feature 70 fine art and craft artists, music, food and is a fundraiser for the Cherokee County Art Center on May 4 and 5 in Brown Park.

Feb. 19

Join CCHS as they host Dr. Donna Coffey Little from Reinhardt University to present on Camp Rieley, a Civilian Conservation Corps camp at Pine Log Mountain that dates back to the Great Depression at 7 p.m. at the Rock Barn, located at 658 Marietta Hwy.

Greater Tuna

This comedy takes place in the fictitious town called Tuna, Texas. The crazy citizens of this town — men, women, children and animals — are all played by two skilled actors who must change parts at lighting fast speed.

Canton Police Facebook Live Town Hall Meeting

Jan. 15

Join Canton Police Department for a town hall-style Facebook Live meeting. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and continue for approximately an hour. The live stream will be available on the Canton Police’s Facebook page and will be archived for viewing after the broadcast is over.

Dumpster Day


The City of Canton’s “Dumpster Days” is a great opportunity for any Canton resident to dispose of trash, unwanted items, up to 10 tires per resident and recycle many electronics free of charge at the Canton Municipal Court Building (151 Elizabeth St.) from 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 2.

Please note—Canton Dumpster Days are provided for City of Canton residents only. Please bring proof of residency when dropping items off.
