4th of July in Canton
Join the City of Canton for a full evening of fun this 4th of July at the Riverstone Shopping Center!
Starting at 5 p.m., the Thomas M. Brady Post of the American Legion will host their annual 4th of July Community Parade with the route surrounding the Riverstone Shopping Center (located at 1451 Riverstone Pkwy). The fun will continue with a free concert by The Rupert's Orchestra from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the City of Canton Stage in the main parking lot and the grand finale with our spectacular annual 4th of July Fireworks at dusk!

Join us for two showings each day at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesdays starting July 2. Day-of-show tickets to individual films are $1 and go on sale one hour prior to show time at the Historic Canton Theatre Box Office. Concessions available. All tickets are general admission and seating is on a first-come, first served basis.

It’s a Saturday night in the late 30’s in Mt. Pleasant, NC. The Rev. Oglethorpe has invited the Sanders Family Singers to provide an uplifting evening of “singin and witnessin” to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. A gospel musical with vintage hymns and stories from the ‘more or less devout’ Sanders Family provide a richly entertaining evening that has audiences clapping, singing, laughing and cheering.
All performances will be held at the Historic Canton Theatre located at 171 East Main Street.

The City of Canton’s “Dumpster Days” is a great opportunity for any Canton resident to dispose of trash, unwanted items, up to 10 tires per resident and recycle many electronics free of charge at the Canton Public Safety and Municipal Court Building (151 Elizabeth St.) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Please note—Canton Dumpster Days are provided for City of Canton residents only. Please bring proof of residency when dropping items off.
